Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Famopia, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. The App is intended for parents and guardians. You are responsible for accurate account information, keeping credentials secure, and activity under your account.

3. Acceptable use and user content

You may submit reviews, photos, place updates, and other content. You retain ownership and grant Famopia a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the App.

You must not submit unlawful, infringing, misleading, dangerous, abusive, obscene, or spam content; impersonate others; interfere with the service; scrape or redistribute content without permission; or use the App unlawfully. We may moderate or remove content and restrict accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Business listings

By claiming a listing, you confirm you are authorised to represent that business and that submitted public business information is accurate. Private verification information is used to process the claim and is not automatically published.

5. Paid subscriptions

Consumer Premium and in-app Famopia Business purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. Purchases made through the separate Famopia Business website may be processed by Stripe. Paid subscriptions may renew automatically until cancelled through the applicable provider. Prices, renewal terms, trial terms, cancellation, and refund eligibility are shown at purchase and governed by applicable law and provider policies.

6. Third-party information and services

The App uses third-party services and displays place, event, weather, map, and other information from external sources. Availability, prices, hours, age suitability, and event details can change. Verify important information directly with the venue or organiser before travelling or purchasing.

Use of Google Maps and Places content is also subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The App, brand, software, and original content are owned by or licensed to Famopia. Except where permitted by law, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works without permission.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or the completeness, accuracy, safety, availability, or suitability of third-party places, events, routes, recommendations, or information.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Famopia is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App or delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access when necessary for security, legal compliance, harm prevention, or a material violation of these Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms and will post the updated version here. Material changes will receive additional notice when required.
